Turnover value

The total money traded in a day

In detail

Volume multiplied by price, showing how much money actually moved. Unlike volume, which counts only shares, it puts expensive and cheap stocks on the same scale. It is also a common way to gauge how busy the whole market is.

Example

A million shares of a $1,000 stock is $1 billion of turnover.
