Fund net assets

The total amount of money the fund holds

In detail

A fund's net assets are the total invested in it. Growing net assets mean new money is arriving; a long decline raises the chance the fund is wound up early. A fund that is too small carries costs poorly and can struggle to trade its holdings. It is a separate question from the unit price, so read both together.

Example

Some funds may be wound up early once net assets fall below $3 billion.
